Graphika Manila 2008 Opening Remarks

I was just browsing through my stuffs and then I found my photos about this seminar that we had attended last September this year. It was the Graphika Manila 2008 International Multimedia Conference which was held on September 20, 2008 in SM Mall of Asia. Well even though it’s already late, I still want to share this to all of you. Well to start off, let me give you a little background about this event.

Graphika Manila International Multimedia Design Conference is the premiere graphic and multimedia design event in the Philippines which started in 2006. Over 1,300 design professionals, students and the media gather annually for one of the biggest forums showcasing cutting-edge multimedia and graphic design. With Web, graphic and multimedia design as a rising element in today’s competitive creative and business environments, the event is warmly acknowledged and hailed as one of the most promising multimedia art events in the country.

Last September’s list of speakers were really good specially Kristophe Vergne (Pixar Animator). He showed us how they made the animated film Ratatouille. Then, there were Simone Legno (TokiDoki), AJ Dimarucot and Caliph8 (Collision Theory), Ivan Despi and Paulene Vicencio (The Acid House), and Robert Alejandro (RAA Design).
